Bob Morgan also studied painting and printmaking while taking design at Ontario College of Art and Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. He exhibited in various group shows at the Ring Gallery in the five years following art school but eventually settled into a career as a designer. Most notable during this period was his painting "Bird in Window" being included in the province of New Brunswick's 200th anniversary show at the Beaverbrook Gallery in 1984.
